WHERE ARE YOUR BALLS?
2019, Ivory Pearls and metal mesh
Mana Contemporary Collection. US
El pasado invierno del 2018, estaba caminando por la calle 25 Este en Nueva York, cuando 5 chicos en su carro pararon y me gritaron “Where are your balls?” (¿Dónde están tus bolas?) y aceleraron. Yo estaba usando jeans negros pegados.
Los genitales y el género son aún conceptos que socialmente van unidos, el machismo aún está expandido por todo sitio, qué pasaría si esto le pasa a alguien más vulnerable. ESTA ES MI RESPUESTA.

The past winter of 2018, I was walking down East 25th Street in New York City, when five guys in a car stopped and yelled at me “Where are your balls?” and sped up. I was wearing black skinny jeans at that moment.
Genitals and gender are still socially linked concepts, chauvinism is still spread out everywhere, what if this cowardly aggression happened to a more vulnerable young kid. THIS IS MY REPLY.
